Meet Marcus Troy
Hello, I’m Marcus…
I’m a New York based actor with connections in Chicago and the Mid-Atlantic region. I was born and raised in the DC area where I studied theater at Virginia Tech and The Catholic University.
Professionally, I had the immense privilege to be cast as the Appraiser in Colin In Black & White directed by Ava DuVernay and Mr. Michaels the “enthusiastic florist” in Yuletide The Knot directed by Nanea Miyata. I’m very proud to have been a part of two series, Emigre by Freddie Connor and Calm Pictures, UpCode by Jerry Topitzer and Roan Tree Productions, a pilot Ms. Pink written & directed by Lauren McCann and the Award Winning Short Film Ride The Wave by Scott Morrell and Rob Alicia, and Brooklyn Rose Films.
On the Stage I’ve been seen as Chief Beatty in 4.5.1. by Kenneth Hunn, an original adaptation of Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, George/Valentina in The Heights Players production of Casa Valentina by Harvey Fierstein and most recently as The King in the The King Is Dead, Long Live The King by Connor Wilson where I won the award for Best Actor In A Play at the NY Summerfest.
